This is my first short story. It depicts a mother telling her teenage daughter about her father whom she has never met. Both share a unique moment that evokes reader's interest and invite them to make their own decisions regarding their ideas of the male. You were someone that they warned me about. Even my own mind warned me. I just didn't want to be someone who was scared of love, so i took a shot in the dark. You showed me things I've never seen before.You showed me what it was like to love and be loved. Then instead of leaving me home, you left me in the desert. Dying from the loss of love. You could have at least left me back in the dark.

This is how a girl with a drug habit and a long list of worries became a waitress with depression and enough friends to count on one hand. The only thing staying the same throughout this change was her feelings towards one specific person. This is straight forward and not filtered. Ask me if i give a shit.
