I have never liked thunderstorms. They scare me to death. The darkness consumes all the warmth around me and leaves me shivering. Fear grows in darkness. I try to close my eyes, but even then I still can´t ban the thoughts from my head. They keep me from finding comfort in sleep. I feel exhausted, left alone. Sadness has become my friend, maybe my only friend. I don´t know what to do. I don´t know what will happen next. I want this night to end, but I am afraid of the next day and what it will have in storage for me. I feel a single tear in the corner of my eye. But I´m tired of crying. Tomorrow, I will be stronger. I will show them that I am not weak. I won´t let them take advantage of me. A flash of lightning illuminates my room for an instant. Inevitably, I look at my clock. It´s sometime around midnight....
