The Christmas Truce of 1914 was indeed a real life event, however the characters within the story are fictitious. I have tried do some accurate research of the Christmas Truce, but there are many different accounts that display many different things. Some events in the Christmas Truce are not exactly concrete which made this story quite difficult to write with 100% accuracy, so this is merely an interpretation! Two brothers went for a walk at the park, then stumbled upon a deserted path, so Damien's curiosity took over and he wanted to check it out. Jack didn't approve at first, but his brother eventually convinced him to go along. The whole time they were taking the path, Jack started to get an odd feeling, he couldn't really figure out what it was. I guess it just seemed to get quieter as they went. They spotted a common object, yet something very unsettling was found inside.
