In the village of Aball, There lies three great friends: Velvet Crowe, her little brother Laphicet Crowe, and her best friend Brendan Wolf. Everything had been peaceful until the day of the Scarlet Night where Laphicet was killed by Artorius as a sacrifice to the Empyrean Innominant. Velvet was furious of her brother's death and sought revenge to her brother-in-law. As for Brendan, he was separated from the event but a forgotten Empyrean had awoken to him and chose him to be the Unknown Hero. And so, the tales of a Villainess and a Hero begin.

Hey everyone! I really appreciate everyone for reading along on Tales of Berseria: Calamity's Hero. This is for anyone's questions they have if they haven't played the games Tales of Zesteria, Tales of Berseria or watched Tales of Zesteria the X. All are you unique and share similarities, despite being a 1,000 years apart in terms of story. I've known that I have been different from most others. I am supposed to be Quirkless. But instead I have silver scales around my neck, alway been able to find others by their steps, didn't need to eat that much, have to focus just to appear in the mirror, and being able to create silver fire...all traits of multiple Quirks. A hero, someone to help others wether they were villain or not when I could. That is what I chose anyway. Just didn't think that I would get the chance to become the world's greatest hero. Or that training would unlock more sides to myself I didn't know about...including those dreams were real. Putting me on a path I'm pretty sure no one on Earth has experienced. One foot on a world of heros and villains, the other in a world in an era of chaos. On one learning to become a hero, the other trying to help restore it to order while finding out more about myself... A hero on two worlds...this path isn't a easy one. But it is the one I chose to follow, and with everyone else by my side it is more than worth it.

But Koda knows that's not true. He will find her. The person who gave him his new purpose in life. He will protect her, even if it costs him is own humanity.
