They were unable, or maybe just unwilling, to be in the places where their friends once walked. They chose to escape the world of demigods while they still could. They wanted to try for normal so that maybe, one day, they could forget any of it ever happened. They wanted peace and safety. He had lost his grandparents, his mother, Bianca, his friends, and then Hazel... he missed her more than he could bare. He only knew his sister for around a year before he had lost her, and not a single day had passed in the last two years that he hadn't thought of her. He couldn't go to either camp or the underworld without feeling like his chest would explode from the pain. He knew she was in a better place. Her and Frank were in Elysium with Jason, Piper, and the rest of the heroes that died in the wars. She was at peace. Maybe she had even managed meet his mother and they were watching him now... though he honestly hoped they weren't. Batman is 45, Defeated everyone, comes across the final challenge of his career, the growing forces of Dasaad & Stepphanwolf and time to team with League of Assassins as Ra's falls down dead by their hands and new enemies spring up, Batman snapped and killed The Joker, Bane & Scarecrow keeping others alive. Batman battled and defeated Deathstroke and cut off his other eye and hand, as a symbol of defeat killing him and Edward Wintergreen, it seemed to be that way but was a Deception as Deathstroke resurfaced later with Wintergreen. Following it comes a Sequel of Night Wing becoming the leader, Mantle of Batman which was once held by Thomas Wayne, Solomon Wayne & Allen Wayne now retires, with Alfred also gone, Night Wing creates his own persona.
