He brought him back because something worse is coming. And it wants the boy who escaped death. Some deals save you. Some damn you. Eldric's did both.

This is my first book(aside from short stories), so I hope you enjoy! The story starts getting exciting in chapter 2. There is police tape surrounding the back of the building, and I quickly see why. The man from last night is lying on the ground. But it's a woman. The hood has fallen off her face, revealing long golden blond hair. Then I notice what's on the wall above her. I almost throw up in disgust. There is a big red paw print on the wall that looks as if it's been painted with... blood. (Blood has italics in the book so it's more dramatic.)

My pet animal was once just a normal one, but then he suddenly ate a magical pill that gave him the ability to talk. Ever since, he has been planning my death. His eyes were once black, but suddenly they turned red. He has been trying to kill me every night at 3 am.

The writing challenge about a talking cat trying to kill you. Hey all, I'm a first time writer absolutely terrified because I'm very self-conscious. My husband is the writer in the family and so if this story absolutely stinks, I'm sorry. I just saw the writing prompt and thought it was fun. I may never write again. I don't know. This is a short, microstory from one of the prompts in '642 Things to Write About' that is unedited from the original writing. The space for writing is not very large, so not much is written with a complete beginning, middle and end. A lot of the stories I write from the prompts are just written as somewhere in the middle of a story that I start in my head.

It had been many, many moons since Skyclan had come back to the forest, the forest started feeling crowded, until Shadowclan and Skyclan drove the other clans out. Now the territory is split in half, the leaders have lost their faith in their ancestors, and the other three clans are nowhere to be found. Young Ebonykit and Wispkit have listened on and on to the Elder's stories about the forest with all five clans. Legends that only them and the ancients believed.
