Amaris is an orphan who has been alone from day one in the world with people who can use magic. After Unlocked Everyone has a different reaction to grief. Sophie isolates herself. Linh tries her best to keep everyone happy. Tam becomes guilty. Fitz tries to channel it into something else. Biana plays her "frail pretty girl" part. Dex tries his best to be whatever someone needs him to be. They all have different reactions, but they have one thing in common; The need to have someone to lean on. But Keefe ran away. His reaction to grief is to leave.
