Tally spent her whole life believing the elders. On her coming-of-age journey, her life is turned upside down, and she abandons the Earthers to seek acceptance amongst her parent's peoples. In theory, the plan was sound. The implication would have been sound, too, if not for one little problem she failed to account for... After the earth was destroyed by a war between humans and extraterrestrials, only a few pockets of mankind remain, whose whole lives depend on the technology left behind by the 'extras'. The four known pockets of existence are as follows; The Eathers - people who are gifted at working the earth. Skyfolk - People whose bodies are able to bond with a particular lightweight metal, which they have adapted into wings. Waterfolk - They're basically mermaids. But way cooler. (I've got a side-story based on these people, comment if you want me to publish it) Firefolk - People who have an uncanny ability for manipulating fire with their hands.
