Based on a writing prompt I found on Facebook. After writing the short story there, people requested that I put it up on Wattpad. I hope you enjoy! Prompt: "Your Run A Tattoo Parlor. Every Couple Of Weeks, The Same Customer Comes In, Always Requesting The Same Tattoo: An Additional Tally Mark On An Ever-Growing Cluster Of Tally Marks."

A modern caste system that consists of individuals bearing a certain number of tally marks on their skin. Revealed from the day of their birth, the number of tally marks one has will decide the fate their life would lead to. The greater the number of tally marks , the better the chances of living a quality life. Enter the story of a 1, positioned against one end of a spectrum, and the story of a 100, standing proudly against the other end.
