I had assumed from the first few hours I had known her she was a guy. I was definitely wrong. Haruhi is the most beautiful girl to walk this planet. Her big brown eyes are breathtaking. Her smile is enough to make the world stop for a second and just stare. She's smart, kind and beautiful. But she doesn't love me. Haruhi does love me, but she loves me like a brother. A stupid older brother. I want her to know how I feel, I really do. I'm just a wimp. A stupid, scared wimp. Haruhi is my perfect angel, but she will never know how I feel. due to this. I would do anything for her, even at the cost of my life. She makes me so, so so happy. A happy I never knew until I saw her that day. The day I saw her almost die. One day we went to the beach, having an amazing time, until we harmlessly left her alone. We had been thinking she would be fine with all the guests. But no. Some guys from a little ways away from the beach came by, and tried to some of the guests, and do things to them. Haruhi attacked them, being a hero. But them one of them pushed her from the giant rock into the ocean, and my heart stopped. I thought I would lose the tiny little beauty I had forever.

After the Host Club almost disbands Tamaki decides to try and win Haruhi over once and for all unless Hikaru can win her over first.

Makoto just so happens to be a multi-talented girl who...crossdresses. All for good reasons! She attends a school named Ouran Academy who also just so happens to hold quite a extravegent group of men who call themselves the host club. Even though she's wise beyond her years, she's a bit (read: a lot) dense when it comes to love. Makoto wanted nothing else but to live an ordinary school-lifestyle so she avoided the eccentric men anytime she could. With one fatal mistake she encountered these people...will it lead her to even more disruptive and abmormal lifestyle? Or will she find a little something about herself? And what about the promise they always mention? Or it could be all of the above?

Haruhi and Tamaki broke up after issues in their relationship when tamaki cheats on haruhi, she was hurt and didn't trust falling in love again. After she returned to Japan kyoya was the only one from their group that was also in Japan, they decided to do some catching up and he offered to let her come over to his place any time she wants to. When tamaki comes to visit learning haruhi is at kyoya's place. Her world is turned upside down with so many issues in her life while everyone is also in their last year of ouran academy.
