Zenitsu had not spoken ever since the death of his grandfather, and was diagnosed with psychogenic mutism. Due to him not being able to speak, he is constantly bullied and ignored by his peers. This caused Zenitsu to have no self esteem and became a loner that every class seemed to have. After he graduated from his previous school, he managed to get into Kimetsu No Yaiba High School, which he assumed that school life is going to be the same bullying routine as his previous school. However, his daily routine was quickly shattered when a certain blue haired boy claims to have taken his seat. Before anything bad could happen, he was saved by a brunet with red ends. The brunet claims not to be Gonpachirou, but to be Tanjiro Kamado...?

While walking he meets a pretty woman and asks if she's seen any demons near by. The woman says no but she knows a way to get even stronger as a demon slayer. Zenitsu as himself doesn't feel strong enough and asks the woman how. She asks him to show her his arm. He shows the woman his arm as she pulls back his sleeve and jabs her finger nail into his arm. As Zenitsu yelps in pain the woman's voice turns into a man's."My name is Muzan. Don't forget it." #6 TanZen at some point

Zenitsu being sad that he doesn't have anyone to date then becomes depressed. Tanjiro helps him fight the sadness, Zenitsu discovers that he might have fallen for him now he is wondering what to do
