Tanjiro, along with the other Demon Slayers, had defeated the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji. But at a cost. Everyone, including Nezuko and the others, had died. You might think it would be the end of our heroes, but God had other plans for them. Suddenly, Tanjiro and everyone else, including Kanae, Sabito, and Makomo, were awake in an unknown place. That's when they met a group of assassins called Night Raid. Tanjiro, along with the others, joins the group after hearing their story about the corrupted capital.
