Daeron was good and noble, entwining the houses of targaryen and Martell and uniting Westeros under a King. Yet many of his lords resented him, favouring Aegons bastardborn son Daemon Blackfyre, who was gifted the Targaryens ancestral sword Blackfyre, a common symbol of legitimacy for Targaryen kings.
