When a flood separates Kerchak and Tarzan from the rest of the family, Kerchak finds himself responsible for the five-year-old child as they journey back to find the troop. As they spend more time together, Kerchak begins feeling more protective of Tarzan, whose innocent naivety has Kerchak's heart melting away.

This story is an original interpretation of Tarzan. It focuses on his protected childhood and his slow, meaningful acceptance by Kerchak. At first, Kerchak sees Tarzan as a risk and keeps him safe through strict rules and constant watch. Over time, responsibility turns into care, and care into acceptance. Tarzan grows up sheltered, guided, and never alone until he truly becomes part of the clan.

**Inspired by ABC's *Once Upon A Time** Once upon a time, in a land filled with magic called the Ebony Woodlands, lived all the usual inhabitants of fairytales: royals, villains, commoners, magical beings, etc. They all live out their stories passed happily ever after and their families grew, now with children writing their own chapters out with adventure at every turn. Until a curse transports them to a coastal town in North Carolina by the name of Broken Brooke Bay. Now these family have no memory of their true lives and know only of what the curse has given them. They have new name, new memories, new lives. To the unsuspecting eye, it seems the town once was a busy area, evident by the animal sanctuary, light house, and other small attractions. But there's something off: no one ever seems to visit or leave the town. There is never anyone new from out of town moving in and everything in the town line seems... stagnant. The younger generation of the town is slowly realizing this as they begin to interact with each other more than they have before. As they try to uncover the mysteries of their hometown, they will build relationships of every kind and find a specific item that will open their locked away memories slowly in different ways. On this journey they take, they will recover the lost chapters from their parents' stories.

He sails until he finds another flourishing island, where he ends up meeting a beautiful Princess of Motunui and her jealous demigod friend, Maui. (I started writing this in grade 10 as a joke all the spelling errors and all that were on purpose, but not I feel compelled to finish it.
