Synopsis - Placement-Takes places After "Kwaku Anansi S6 "and "Pain & Ink S1" Following the battle against Polaris in Pain & Ink's explosive finale, Amanda Waller arrives in New Haven, seeking the attention of Mosi Carter / Kwaku Anansi, the God of Stories. Waller knows the world is changing-gods, metahumans, and cosmic threats crossing dimensions-and she intends to weaponize it before it consumes Earth. Mosi agrees, reluctantly, to let Khalil Payne / Painkiller lead a new iteration of Task Force X. But unlike Waller's usual leash, this squad has a dual chain of command: Painkiller for the field, Waller for the mission-while Anansi looms overhead as a divine checkmate. Synopsis- Mosi Carter and Aso move their children-the Unwoven Kids-into Spin City, hoping for peace. But Amanda Waller tracks Mosi down, warning him that a predator hunts metahumans she's been monitoring. The hunter is Zoom (Hunter Zolomon), obsessed with shaping "better heroes" by putting them through unimaginable torment. His target is Alinta/Bolt, but his chaos ripples across New Haven. Meanwhile, Mosi feels the Loom itself strain-threads of fate snapping in unnatural ways-and realizes Zoom is not acting alone. His manipulations are preparing the board for larger forces-Apokolips, demons, and Waller's eventual rise with Task Force X. Khalil Payne (Painkiller) returns, aiding Mosi in tracking Waller's "list" of hidden heroes-but they avoid direct contact, leaving that setup for the Task Force X spin-off in the Anansiverse.
