The world is ruined, toxic and controlled by the Rich, a powerful and dangerous government faction. The air is poison. It has been years since anyone's really seen the sky. The public, the intolerant, live in domed cities. No one, and nothing lives outside. Except the walkers; terrifying smoke beings. And Nif. Nif can breathe the air, can bring long-dead plants to life, but can she keep her own?

Many things in life are fragile. Love just happens to be the most breakable. The fine line between love and hate is constantly shifting and trembling, ready to give way at the smallest pressure. But if we care about someone, we always persevere. Life and death is another thin line. No one can really control it and it’s like night and day. A cycle thats constantly there, but is so common that no one really notices until it changes. All of these things can break in the blink of an eye. This fine line has been crossed many times in Liberty’s life. So many people have come and gone. Loved ones lost, wether through death or the simple choice to walk away and continue like she never even existed. When these lines are crossed it becomes harder each time. Eventually you want to not care, not feel. Because normally when you love someone, its all going to crash and burn in the end. When Niall met Liberty in Ireland, she was on vacation with her family, just getting away from the rushed life of London. She was happy and friendly and constantly talking. Niall liked her immediately. That was before the X-Factor. Since then everything has changed. Niall has fallen hard for Liberty, but breaking her out of her shell will be harder then he ever thought.
