A father-daughter spat sends young necromancer Emilia Mortalis to seek out her real parents, beginning with a summoning in a cemetery, where she encounters a faceless Angel statue. When her foster father is killed while fighting in the Badlands, she and the Teenmagers seek revenge against his murderers, a plan that brings them in conflict with the Netherqueen. She'll need an Angel to succeed. But the Angel statue is much more than it seems.

The world is filled with magic, gold, warriors, mages, tamers, guilds, castles and royalty. I was born between a warrior and a beast tamer. My mother retires guild work and opened a tavern, as my father gained more experience and rank within the guild. My parents had five children including me, and were raised within a close community with cousins aunts and uncles. I have three older brothers and a older sister. Two of my brothers are warriors wielding swords and axes, my third brother and my sister are both beast tamers with three pets following their orders. I have twelve older cousins six warriors, four mages and two beast tamers. I was babied by my whole family, but I am determined to prove everyone wrong and become stronger than anyone could believe. I want to train, fight and enter dungeons. One day I will be the best adventurer my town have ever seen!

High stakes and costly losses, there's no better way in all the old realms to turn from beggar to rich noble or have your tattered pockets emptied even further than a game of Three Fools. The only con upon winning a round in this most perilous of card games is the ire of the trio whose ill-gotten goods you might snatch out from under them. That, and what Dubious methods they might employ to get back what is theirs. On a windy night, huddled in the measly warmth of a rundown old tavern, four mead-ridden souls sit down by meagre candlelight to play the costly game. Each with riches to dole out and stories to tell. Though the light and overall company may be dismal, the reward is anything but. Hope you enjoy this cheeky little fantasy tale. Unlike most of my short stories, I can't quite remember what the inspiration was for this one. That, and it took me a good long while to actually finish the thing. Who knows. My best guess is that I that I came up with the idea after playing way to much poker in Red Dead 2. I imagine real life gambling would be a lot more interesting if you could dispense a couple dozen deadeye infused bullets into the face of whoever cost you 2 dollars. But I digress. Hopefully the high stakes, witty characters and funny naming scheme of this sly story will keep you entertained for a short while. A Wizard, an Elf, and A Dwarf walk into a bar. No, seriously, that's not the punchline. A heroic Elf finds himself on an epic quest to save his home kingdom. But first he has to navigate the treacherous human city before him. Upon fleeing the rain to a local tavern, the Elf encounters a Wizard and a Dwarf who may have useful insight about his criticisms. As part of my Dreamwalkers: Short Story Collection, this short story is intended to cover events taking place within the worlds or plot of my Dreamwalkers book series but which is not directly addressed within the main series itself. As of yet, I currently do not plan on releasing my Dreamwalkers series online. While there are references to events and characters from my main series, this story is written to stand on its own and can be enjoyed without previous exposure to the main series.
