Clara worked her normal life in her small town of Bayeux in France. Until she met Chase. The lone boy who looked fine. But she knew, deep, he was broken. Chase had never had a good childhood or life. Until he met her. Clara. The one who changed him. But Clara doesn't know about his dark past, and not telling her the truth would stab him every time he saw her. But leaving her forever for her sake would destroy him as well.

In a different universe stands four clans- the Elemental Wizards Clan, the Fighter Neko Clan, the Devil's Eye Neko Clan, and the Wooden Elf Clan. When a wizard known as Rin Kuwata disappears, the four clans bring together a team from the four different clans to search for him.

With the fruits of a successful season safely stowed, whaling captain Robert Thorpe reaches a milestone. He has no lady in mind, but the tavern wench who catches his eye is surely the wrong woman for him.

As the stranger settled himself down in the large comfortable armchair that had been placed by the fire especially for him, the rest of the customers arranged their chairs around him, eager to be able to hear well, the tale that was about to be told. Several tankards of ale were placed on a small table in front of him. He sat quietly for some minutes, his hands clasped, with two fingers steepled under his nose against his lips. Eventually, he leaned forward, picked up a tankard, took a long draft of ale, burped, set it back down on the table and sat back in his chair. ''The tale you are about to hear is true'' he said, glaring at them all one by one as if daring them to disagree with him once the story was told. ''And it will chill your bones.''

This is a side project I decided to work on. It is mostly unedited, so please don't judge to hard :) I'm open to suggestions on how to improve. I'm also fairly certain that the title is already taken, so any suggestions for a better title will be taken into consideration. Hope you like it!
