They say that strangers are more dangerous than family. They say love will never hurt you. They say good people don't run. Tyler knows they're wrong. All Prince Edward wanted was friends that didn't obey his every command, his parents, (the king and queen) to notice him, and to be his own man, (or boy). And he does get that, well for a short while. Prince Edward meets Jack, (or Jacan), a small common boy raised by his ma and pa. Prince Edward runs to him every chance he gets and you can't really blame the boy. Jack hasn't got a clue as to who Edward is, which excites him. He tries to soak up as much time with the little boy and he does so, until one night. After that night, Edward is forced to grow up and become the next king. He isn't allowed to wander off and play whenever he feels like it and he surely cannot hang out with the small boy he has grown accustomed to. So, years later, Edward is grown up and hasn't seen his new/old friend for years. Until now. This is a BxB story! If you don't like it please don't read! Because everyone knows that the higher the power, the higher the price. They're considered part of the Elite, just humans with unique powers who live moderately normal lives despite how un-normal their powers are. They don't fight crime. They don't rule the world. They lay low and keep it together. Recently, Leander and Felix have been having a cruddy time keeping it together. Leander has the rare ability of clairvoyance, but for some... remarkably insightful reasons, he really wishes he didn't. Felix is a telepath, to put it broadly, and he's been taking a three-year long guilt trip, minus the rest stops and the suspicious gas stations. Together, they have an advantage, because they're best friends and they have each others' backs. Until things start going wrong and the list gets longer, one by one. They're being tailed... by the other Elite? Leander's price just keeps growing- How in heck is Felix supposed to stop it? How exactly do two twenty-one-year-olds manage a hydrokinetic kindergartner? And, oh yeah, does Felix really think he can just continue that guilt-trip, whatever it is he's been guilt-tripping about? Things just get worse from there. And the two start to think that maybe... they're just paying the price.
