After listening to The Adventure Zone I just knew I had to try my hand at some fanfiction. This story contains major spoilers for the Balance Arc so if you haven't watched through episode 60-69 then I'd recommend not reading this! Also this story assumes you know a bit about the Adventure Zone universe and plot so if you're not familiar with the characters then I'd highly recommend you go out and listen to it for yourself, it's an amazing podcast! Read as Taako takes matters into his own hands, a little venture into the 'what if' side of the massive, action and emotion packed The Adventure Zone finale!

After losing his sister and putting everything he had into trying to find her, Taako has become a pirate of the streets. He's not even sure where he is anymore, too far from home for anything to be familiar, and too broke to get a train home anyway. Not like he wants to go back. It would be too quiet without her there. He's spent the last few months taking money where he can get it, sometimes from small cooking shows in busy squares, and stealing when he has to. He's not proud of it, but the idiots make it so easy... Anyway, he needs the money to keep looking for Lup. Of course, he's having no luck here, and he can't do anything for her if he keeps freaking out. Maybe it's time to take a little while for himself. Kravitz knows that sometimes, for the kingdom, you have to make sacrifices. He's let go of his dreams of being a musician, and there has never been a more dedicated captain of her majesty's army. But when he discovers that his mother has set up an arranged marriage - well, he knows better than to argue with her. It's for the good of the country, after all. Still, it's not going to stop him from sneaking out to go to his favorite bar.

MASSIVE SPOILERS for The Suffering Game arc and episodes 56 and 57!! After Magnus loses his body, Taako regrets a lot of what's happened during the game so far, and wishes he could redo it all. The future is confusing and blurry, and it doesn't seem all so great right now, but things will be okay. Right? Taako does some introspection. Merle reads a book. Magnus takes a snooze.
