Years after the events of Dance of Magic, the Wibberly siblings and their friends are all grown up and have made lives for themselves in the magical world. Emma hunts down magical threats as a warrior, Michael works to unify the magical races, and Kate helps both of them while doing charity work and raising her own three children with her husband, Rafe. It's a time of thriving lives and happiness. But the past has returned to threaten their future. An unexpected enemy wants them destroyed and will do anything to make that happen. The Wibberlys find their old alliances crumbling. And Lili, the eldest of Kate and Rafe's children, is discovering her own power and darkness in the midst of all this chaos. It's been a few months since the books of beginning were destroyed and the Wibberly siblings were reunited with their parents. A few months since they each lost people dear to them. In the aftermath, their parents have tried to adjust them to a normal life, and a normal family dynamic. But the children know that it just doesn't feel right. They can't heal or live like this. Something inside Kate, Michael, and Emma craves the world of magic and their friends in that world. When their parents go out to the store one day and by nightfall have not returned, the Wibberlys become fearful. And a startling attack causes them to have to flee their home in the dead of night and return to the magical world. It turns out the ghosts of the past have come back to haunt them. And while these new loopholes in the boundaries between life of death allow the siblings to reunite with and seek help from some beloved friends, it also means their deadliest enemy is roaming the world once more, hungry for revenge. And so the three are launched into another quest to save their family and discover what could possibly be causing the very foundations of the world to shift. Michael investigates with a fervor, seeking guidance from many friends and allies among the living and the dead. Emma trains to fight to protect her family, helped by the ghost of her dear friend and mentor. And Kate begins to unlock the magic inside of her, magic that could hold the key to saving her family, defeating evil once and for all, and maybe even changing destiny to bring the boy she loves back to her. The town of Cambridge Falls is no stranger to the unnerving. For over a century, people have gone missing, and the townsfolk know who to blame. The Dire Magnus, they call him, a sorcerer who rules an enchanted forest, one that's a dark mirror of the woods surrounding their home. He snatches away residents without warning, and now his terrible shadow has fallen upon the Wibberlys. Kate, Michael, and Emma have had a hard life. When they were small, their parents left one day and never returned. Put in the care of their godfather, Gabriel, who moved them to his hometown, the trio has spent years relying only on each other, and their steadfast guardian, all while wondering what happened to their parents. Little do they know their troubles have just begun. After a late night escapade, Michael and Emma become the latest missing locals. The Dire Magnus has taken them to his realm, from which none have ever returned. But Kate and Gabriel will not accept that they are truly gone. Setting out on a rescue mission, the pair venture into the dark, magical domain the town has long feared. No matter what surprises await, they are determined to save their family. Even if, to do so, Kate will have to bargain with the Dire Magnus himself.

It will include a lot of one shots about Kate and Rafe because if you've read Books of the beginning you might've suffered from the death of Rafe. So I thought of making a book based on oneshots about them. I'm inspired by @Lucy_Hood and @starsandsplells
