Cari lettori, con questa storia ho voluto tentare un esperimento ambizioso e profondamente romantico: trasformare il celebre ed eterno balletto de Il Lago dei Cigni in un romanzo breve d'amore e dramma. Nel farlo, ho cercato di restare fedele alla struttura e all'anima della trama originale che tutti amiamo, ma ho anche voluto aggiungere elementi di mio pugno per arricchire la psicologia dei personaggi, dare loro una voce e rendere il loro destino ancora più epico e travolgente. Per vivere appieno l'atmosfera di questo medioevo fiabesco, vi consiglio caldamente di accompagnare la lettura con le musiche originali del balletto composte da Pëtr Il'ič Čajkovskij. Provate a cercare e ad ascoltare le tracce che più ricordano i particolari momenti, le sfumature emotive e i colpi di scena inseriti nella trama: dalle note spensierate della festa di corte, al lirismo magico dell'incontro sotto il salice, fino alla potenza drammatica della tempesta finale. Lasciate che le melodie guidino la vostra immaginazione tra le acque del lago e le ombre del castello nero.
