The Colour Gang willingly let him join, both out of kindness and as an act of appreciation, for saving their lives - twice. Except their troubles don't just end there. Because there's a difference between a villain and an antagonist, and mixing them comes with consequences. But that's okay, of course. Because they'll learn. They'll prepare. They'll be fine.
