Canvas is advance in art, music, and computers; her academics are good but not advanced. Mr. Gerard Way is the advanced art teacher at the academy (this is a world where the twin towers in New York are still standing) he owns the biggest comic stores and is very talented. When Mr. Gerard Way does his first year of teaching at Camden Canvas is in her junior (third) year of high school she's in his class. How will this year go threw with such a cute couple that could be in the making?
