Ella Bell has always known that her life is different.
Growing up as the daughter of beloved actress and voice actress Kristen Bell means living surrounded by creativity, music, and the magic of Disney. While the world knows her mother as the voice behind one of Disney's most famous characters, Anna from Frozen, Ella has always wondered what it means to create a legacy of her own.
At 15 years old, Ella is trying to figure out who she really wants to be. She loves singing, writing, and performing, but she worries that people will only ever see her as "Kristen Bell's daughter" instead of seeing her for who she is.
When Kristen brings Ella along to visit the set of Sonic the Hedgehog 4, Ella finds herself stepping into a world she never expected. Meeting her mom's co-stars, including the voice of Sonic, Ben Schwartz, and the rest of the Sonic movie family, Ella discovers that even the biggest stars have struggled with finding their own voices.
As Ella forms new friendships and experiences the excitement behind one of Hollywood's biggest franchises, she begins to understand that she doesn't have to follow the exact same path as her mother. Whether she chooses music, acting, writing, or something completely different, her story belongs to her.
With the support of her family, new friends, and the people who inspire her, Ella learns the most important lesson of all:
She doesn't need to be the next Anna. She doesn't need to be the next Kristen Bell.
She just needs to be Ella Bell.
A heartfelt story about family, friendship, dreams, and finding the courage to share your own voice.
