Lotor has given Voltron anything they wanted. For months, he's allowed himself to be locked away as a prisoner and treated less than everyone else in the castle. Finally, after many successful missions using his intel, he's finally convinced Voltron to take his suggestion on their next target. Alwain. With thousands of resources, it's clear why it's considered valuable- and why its security measures are through the roof. If taken back, it would be a MASSIVE victory for the Collalition. However, after some digging, Pidge comes across a vital piece of information that Lotor "forgot" to tell them. Years ago, after the solar system's thousand-year rebellion had been forced to an end by Galra forces, Lotor was dragged back into Zarkon's plans when he and the Crown Princess were forced into marriage to secure control. While neither is originally thrilled about the arrangement, they end up falling in love. Sadly, Lotor was banished to the end of the galaxy. Any attempt to contact her will mean the end of his lover's home, people, and her life. With no other choice, he's forced to wait. Now, he finally has the opportunity to rescue her from Galra oppression, and nothing is going to stop him. I don't own Voltron or the characters, just the plot of this fanfic. I do own the cover photo and do not permit anyone to use it to profit or gain from it. It's implied that reader has a lifespan similar to Lotor's. This is not meant to fit perfectly into the canon series, so just think of it as a canon divergence, or an ALTERNATE REALITY... I'll go in a corner now...

Soon after that happened, Shiro and Pidge's brother and father were pronounced dead after going to Kerberos. When the two best friends went to the Garrison and they met their new teammates; Lance McClain and Hunk Garrett. When Lance saw Y/n, he started flirting with her, but she got fed up and smacked him. Lance noticed this and never tried to flirt with Y/n again. Soon, the team failed a flight simulation. When Iverson started scolding them, Y/n got scared and hid behind Hunk. After the simulation, Pidge and Y/n went to the roof to listen to alien radio chatter. That night, Lance and Hunk went to the roof and saw the two with headphones and their backpacks. Little did the team know that they were going to be part of something greater than the Garrison. But Y/n soon found out that her parents were hiding something from her, as well as seeing Keith Kogane again. Story description. Lance has always been there for Keith ever since they become paladins. Everyone thinks that they have the lover-boy lance figured out. The lady's name they think. The flirt they think. But the only one that has lance all figured out and that's his best friend hunk. What has lover-boy lance been hiding from team Voltron? The only one that knows lances secret is hunk and what his true feelings are for. What will happen went these feelings are relist into space? How will lance cope?

Harlow always has been, in Earth terms, the 'black sheep' of her family. Never good enough for her parents, always listening to her heart rather then what she was told. Got her into trouble many times before. Until one day, she got herself into trouble that she could never pull herself back from. At least, that's what Harlow thought. Until one day, along came Earthlings dresses in color coded armor, freeing the prisoners, Harlow included, on a Galra command ship. And Harlow heard a song. Then the song became a growl. And the growl became a defiant roar. Who would've thought that one of the paladins of Voltron, set out to free the rest of the universe from Zarkon and his Galra empire, was a Galra herself.

In Galra terms, 'mating' means marriage though the process of it is close to exactly what you would expect from the word, though it is a long process that contains several steps including leaving permanent scars on both partner's bodies to tell others that they are already taken. Once the process is completed the two partners will be each others mates, as one would expect, how is this relevant to team Voltron? Let's just say a certain red Paladin happens to be Zarkon and Haggar's grandson and he and a certain green Paladin had acted upon the mating process permanently claiming each other, however when the rest of the team finds out that one of their team members is the enemy's species, he is exiled from the team, but what happens when Pidge discovers that she is pregnant with Keith's baby?
