Link, the Hero of Hyrule, has just learned of Princess Zelda's fate after seeing the final dragon tear. Overcome with grief, he sets out to seek a legendary power, one he believes will guarantee Hyrule's victory...and his revenge. But will he lose himself in the process? Author's note: This story takes place during Tears of the Kingdom, right after Link discovers the last of the dragon tears. It combines elements from that story, in addition to some of my other favorite Legend of Zelda games. Though I generally try to stay true to lore, at times I made adjustments to help things flow. I don't claim to be a professional author or Legend of Zelda expert, I just wrote a story that I would enjoy. *I do not own any characters used in this story. When Link awakens in the Shrine of Resurrection, the world greets him as a hero-but he is nothing more than a hollow echo of one. Hank used to have a peaceful life with his parents but they were killed by an evil Shadowdragon named Drazen. He finds himself in a place known as Hyrule and meets Princess Zelda as he became her adopted son and Prince. He will defeat Sabrus and fight the evil forces that rises from the shadows.

After Link leaves on a voyage he finds himself far away from his Princess with almost no hope of getting back to her.

The praised King of the desert, one male born all hundred years, said to help his folk out of their misery of desert. His only his desire, leading him to take over the whole kingdom Hyrule, which are still in their early years. The King mighty how he is, starting taking over small parts of the kingdom close to his, like this small village on the snowy highlands of his desert. The King himself standing tall as ever on the border by nightfall, behind him his little force of trained gerudo soldiers, ready on his comment. At sunrise, the village lays in ashes, the people fleed or died that night, only one person went missing and got brought to the burning hot desert. As the King saw this Vai curled up in the corner, he got, however, sentimental unlike for a person like him. And as days went on, he had grown a desire for her and an even bigger for the crown of the kingdom... /totk. Ganondorf x Oc/

Link is the hero, it's hard to forget that. He's incredible--almost superhuman, but not quite. He's still human. If you look too closely at his battle scars, his hardened eyes--if you really look at him, maybe you'll see something more than Hyrule's unfaltering hero.
