After the song, John calls Paul out for being "proper and sophisticated," which intrigues-and embarrasses-Paul more than he cares to admit. Only after Paul calls back something meant as a joke does he realise how dangerous this John boy really is. ⚠: I understand that John and Cynthia started dating in 1958, but in order to fit the storyline, they has to start dating in late 1957.
