This is part 2 of my fanfic series, so If you haven't read the prequel of this story "Botw Reimagined: The Past", I highly recommend reading it before starting on this if you don't want to get confused. Moving from the past of breath of the wild, we finally get to the game portion of the story. (Story) 100 years after the tragedy that was the Great Calamity, Hyrule has finally seemed to have regained its footing. However, the seal on Calamity Ganon seems to be weakening, threatening to break any day now. Fortunately for Hyrule, a hero who has been thought long dead finally returns from a long slumber. That hero is Link. After sleeping for 100 years, Link seems to have lost all of his memories, especially the memories of his failure to protect those that he loved. of course, All rights to any known part of the game go to Nintendo please Nintendo, do not strike me down before I finish this series.

This is an alternate change/AU in the Tears of the Kingdom story/game that we play through. Instead of Princess Zelda returning back to her mortal self at the end after defeating Ganondorf, it'll happen in the middle of Link's journey to save his princess along with Hyrule. This story will NOT be the exact same of the game of how it plays out, but will be some similarities. This story will take place after Link gains each of the Sages, and nearly finish examining the Geoglyphs that Impa and Purah wanted him to check out. With gaining help from the Princess before facing Ganondorf, the Sages plus Link will end Ganondorf's evil ruling. There will be my own twists like Zelda still being able to use the Time abilities she had like in AoI (Age of Imprisonment) and Tears. It was all just a game, just another silly video game. Except- it wasn't just a game. She loved the game, completing it several times, each time finding another task to do. It was her favourite game, unlike any she's seen before. But what if one day that game became her reality? What if Y/n was sucked into the game titled Breath of The Wild?

Taking place in an alternate timeline, Princess Zelda was the one who was placed in the Shrine of Resurrection after casting a forbidden spell to contain The Calamity within Hyrule Castle and sealing all the Divine Beasts into a dormant stasis in their respective regions. Having fallen in the battle, Zelda awakened a hundred years later where her spell has weakened and the Divine Beasts started to stir again. Unfortunately, because of her grave injuries that causes her arms to be replaced by unusual arms of Zonai origins coupled with the corruption of her powers, Zelda lost her memories and the ability to summon the Triforce to purify herself. To make matters worse, The Champions, long believed to be slain in battle, are still trapped within the Divine Beasts where they are possessed by Malice and the Blights that granted them corrupted longevity. As for The Hero Link, he was placed in a healing chamber within Eventide Island alongside his sister, Aryll, who exerted her strength to rescue him, and finally, The Master Sword had lost its power after it was sealed with Zelda as it sits in a powerless state. In this story, Zelda takes the center stage where she must rescue the Divine Beasts and The Champions, resurrect The Hero of Time and his sister, and restore the Master Sword that she uses as her own weapon while restoring her memories both painful and meaningful to her. At the same time, Zelda must decide what she desired the most during her travels: Does she want to be a princess again? Does she want to be an adventurer free from a kingdom that once held her back? Or does she want to be... Herself? Free to explore the skies, the depths, and the overworld without the burdens of the past and carve her own path.

We all know the story of how the Hero of the wild Link, woke up after a 100-year slumber to go on an adventure to save Hyrule from Ganon. But what if something went wrong? What if Zelda's power did not awaken after her knight fell in battle. With the power of the triforce still dormant the Hero's' life was lost. As the princess was about to accept her fate four cries could be heard in the distance. The divine beasts still stood tall. The champions had not fallen to the blights, and with that the princess found the courage to face Ganon alone! As the four Champions look towards Hyrule castle, a golden light appears, and Zelda's voice can be heard. Zelda: The knight with the sword that seals the darkness has fallen in battle... I will use the power of the triforce to seal Ganon until the day I die. Urbosa of the Gerudo, Daruk of the Gorons, Mipha of the Zora, and Revali of the Rito! If I'm being honest, I'm basically using this as a way to get ideas out. I have a lot of inspo from other authors. Revalink, the Champions are dead and Ganon is defeated. Without the presence of doom looming over his head, he can't stop thinking about where he went wrong. Lotsa survivors guilt, heartbreak, and suicide. If this triggers you, please don't read.
