Will Byers has always been the outsider... until a group of theatre kids invites him to be on set crew for their spring musical. There, he meets Drew, a tenor boy who's threatened by Will. Will and Drew can't stand each other until they're brought together by fate.

The Arts Department at Northstar High used to be such a warm and welcome place. But some sort of dispute happened last year, and now all everyone does is yell, yell, YELL! Alliances are formed amongst some groups, but that seems to only amplify everything. The Choir kids team up with the drumline, the concert band teams up with the jam band, and the actors and tech crew pair up together. So when Elodie, a member of the choir decides to join the tech crew, she knows she's going to have to do some hard-core sound control.

Iris had to move the summer before her sophomore year with her mother from the city of Atlanta, Georgia, to a small town in Wisconsin. She soon found her calling with the small tech crew in her high school. Caven has lived in the Wisconsin town with his father his whole life. Caven is an actor. He always gets the leads in the plays and musicals. Alexis is the spoiled, only daughter of the people that fund much of the drama program. Alexis gets all of the leads for the plays and musicals because of her parents, despite her lack of acting and singing skills. When a person from her life in Atlanta shows up unexpectedly and reaches out to her, Iris doesn't know what to think anymore.

As kids we wonder if there is someone out there that looks exactly like us, is doing the exact same thing as us, a carbon copy. These two girls have the same name, go to the same school, are in the same grade, but never have met. They are almost identical, but they have different personalities. Aurora is independent, but lonely and being constantly bullied by the people she used to call her friends. Rory is popular, but stress is starting destroy her inside out and only one guy can relieve it. "Coach, come on let me in the game," I said hoping, even though I knew he had witnessed what had happened today. He looked me up and down as I rubbed a spot on my neck. "Fine E, but don't go out there and do anything stupid" Coach Toldson responded a bit uneasy. I grabbed my stick off the bench I was standing next to and hopped over the wall onto the ice. I looked up to the crowd in the stands, biggest one ever. It was the finals, we were playing cross-town rivals Slater Spartans, one of the toughest teams in the state besides our own. The puck dropped and I was so zoned out I didn't even realize. Someone skated right by me without me even paying attention to them. "Butler" Coach shouted. That's when I snapped back into focus. I took off covering them so they couldn't collect the pass from their teammate. As we went around the net, past Bryan playing goalie, I collected the puck bouncing off of my coverages stick and broke away down the ice. I was pretty much all alone until in front of the net not exactly center but just off to the right. Just me and Slaters goalie, Finnik. As I went to take the shot, I felt everything stop. I huge pain went through both sides of my body. And a cracking noise echoed through my ears, like thousands of sticks being broken inside my head. I felt my body hit the cement ground like a dead weight, I tried to stand up but it was more like all of my limbs had just fallen off and refused to do anything. "E" I heard a deep voice yell. Footsteps following right behind the loud shout. "Eva-" I knew this voice. It was Sierras, and the last thing I heard before everything went into a darkness.
