As far as they know, 14 year old Madge and her village are the only descendants of the ancients left. Forced to battle with the Mechas, giant technology animals that came to life when the ancients died, they are never safe. And when Madge meets Lute, a mysterious boy who was lurking near CliffRoot's Cavern, they are forced to set out in search of other civilizations and their ancient artefacts, to save the world of Sporious, once and for all.
