The story of a college kid on the wrong side of a tech war.

A short story about a futuristic society in which war takes place in a circuit board and people are downloaded in to fight. A young soldier- Maverick- finds comfort in a young girl who shows him to see beauty in the world again. The writing is based on that of a short story "For Esme with Love and Squalor" by J.D.
