She used to be so happy. Always smiling, always talking with her friends, always laughing that cute little laugh. But then... it happened. Now she hardly ever speaks and pretty much alienates herself from all the others. She lives with her wealthy aunt, Urara, and uncle, Sugito, in the town of Ouran, Japan. At her new school, she meets many new faces, some friendly, some not-so-friendly, and some just belonging to flat out weirdos (*cough* *cough* Tamaki *cough*). But two of them especially catch her eye... and she's caught their eyes as well. (I own nothing but the story and main character. Relax and enjoy my first story!)

Who knew a little conversation could change one's life? In this case, it changed two lives. Dylan Scherer, your typical school's bad boy that all girls love to fawn over and guys wanna be like him, blah blah blah, we get it. The thing is, nobody knows who he really is. Sure, he's like any other rebel and with being the school's "jock," it comes with a list: too cocky, overboard on the bluntness, can't be careful with his words to save his life, and can't go a day without rolling his eyes. On the way to school, Ryder feels apprehensive as he faces the challenges of high school, which he describes as the 'worst years of life.' Upon arriving at school, Ryder becomes lost in the overwhelming crowd of teenagers and seeks solace in his music. He collides with a girl named Samantha, who is also struggling to navigate her schedule. They bond over their shared confusion and fears about high school, and their chance encounter leads to an unexpected friendship. With Samantha's hand in his, Ryder feels a newfound camaraderie, and the once-monstrous high school now appears a bit friendlier. The story effectively portrays Ryder's thoughts, emotions, and his evolving perspective on high school life. Carter isn't much of a realist. The world around him is too annoying, too depressing, too... real. He just wants to descend into the world's in his head. The only problem is, his head makes it hard to distinguish what is real and what is not. He doesn't know who or what he really is. All he ever wanted to do was be himself in a world that wasn't so... real. High school had other ideas for him. These are Carter's memories, his stories, and his thoughts. Just a bunch of poems and short stories that I wrote over the years, mostly when I was in my semi-emo teen phase (and after), so I guess I'll upload it here... ...Yeah. Most tell a story, fiction or otherwise (I may not specifically say which is which). Other times, it's just feelings and emotions or random events that spark my inspiration and imagination. Some also contain pictures that I made a long time ago to go along with the poem/story lol. **All pictures in this are owned by me. I know they're terrible. I just did it for fun. Don't judge. XD I don't even remember what I was thinking when I wrote some of the stories. Also, do note that some stories/poems, though purely metaphorical may be triggering. You have been warned. I check and edit some of it but for the most part, I try to keep it as it is as much as possible, to capture the main thoughts and styles I had, especially for the ones I wrote many years ago. Also some of them are highly personal. **Will always be ongoing, until the day I stop writing for good.
