The mystery involves a precious diamond, the Diamond of Dandasterton.

After her older brother's death, young Kirsten develops a strong interest in baseball, which helps her find a sense of belonging to a place, team and sport. Kirsten must also struggle with the idea of being queer and soon accepting herself and her sexual orientation in this coming of age based in the 1970's. The story is written by Kris (teenage author). This story is not based on real story.
