In the summer of 2016, 17 year old Luke Washington gets into a car accident and dies. Most people on Ellingson Island are skeptical about whether or not it was truly an accident, but who would kill a person who loved everything and everyone around them? The island therapist volunteers to meet with weekly with the 4 girls who are closest to him: His straight A student best friend from back home, Catherine, his tomboy cousin, Skailer, his mean girl twin sister, Hayley, and his emo best year-rounder friend on the island, Taylor. The therapist asks them all to write journals every week with either their feelings or memories of Luke. This story is those journals.
