Maci, a seventeen year old L.A girl, has always been left out. She's never invited to parties, group hang outs, or anything fun. People take advantage of her, because of the 'dreamer' trance she always seems to be in. She doesn't understand what's wrong with her, but she's learnt to be content with where she's at. She has a best friend, AMAZING daydreams, and all the free time under the sun. She's not expecting to find herself intertwined with the new boy who moves to her school... Lucas. The skater boy who transfers to Oakridge. He's charming, he's witty, but he's also emotionally closed off to the rest of the world. "Only dreamers believe in true love," is his go-to saying. However, when he meets Maci - the formal dreamer - maybe he'll start to think bigger than he's been allowing himself to over the past few years.

Family issues

When Mom said Ms. Travis was going to help out around the store. She did not mention that Ms. Travis's son, Baer, high school heartthrob, player, and total number one on avoid list would be with her. But Mom never shares anything with me, nor does she care. I just hope my entire summer isn't ruined by Manhoe. But when have things ever worked in my power?
