Hi, ich bin Nia, 14 Jahre alt und besuche die 8. Klasse eines Gymnasiums. Ich möchte gerne etwas aus meinem Leben erzählen, auch wenn ich nicht genau weiß, wie das auf einer Plattform mit so vielen spannenden Geschichten ankommt.

I love getting my usual at the convenient store nearby. Going there is my favorite activity actually. Since I'm vegan and my parents are fully convinced meat lovers, I began to spend more and more time there. The food is surprisingly nice and fresh. I really enjoy sitting on the bench outside, eating my food while watching the pretty countryside scenery. Now that I'm 19, I finally appreciate the beauty of a small town like mine. Not too small to get sick of it, yet small enough to not have a big fuss around it. The feeling of familiarity always surrounds me, whether it is the daily portion of spicy udon and corn-sticks with warm green tea from the convenient store or the caring neighborhood who basially raised me. Ironically this safe place of mine would turn out to be the opening key to the person, who is now my biggest safety net.

I turned 16 two weeks ago. What does that get me? Exactly nothing. Except for the fact that I can now legally buy and drink alcohol under 10%. Maybe not the right way to start this book but oh well. Yesterday I had my graduation ceremony and who would have thought that I would pass my secondary school leaving certificate with a B? Not me anyway! But first a little bit about me! I'm Elodie, 16 years old as I mentioned, and I'm about to start my A-levels. I'm actually a normal girl! Well, almost. I love to draw and I taught myself to play the piano. I also have a rather unusual big dream. I want to get out of Germany and move to New York City, Manhattan to be precise. Anyway, I've booked a flight! I'm leaving in September. And of course my dog lucky will go with me! Do my parents know? No. Would they agree to it? No. Will I do it anyway? Yes. I'll send them a postcard as soon as I'm gone so that they know where I am. Emilia ist gerade mit ihrer Schulausbildung fertig geworden, deshalb beschließt sie und ihre beste Freundin Luna ein paar Tage Auszeit am Campingplatz zu nehmen. Auch ich habe mich lange Zeit von ihm ferngehalten. Warum? Ich denke einfach, weil es alle taten. Bis zu diesem einen Tag jedenfalls... Jetzt weiß ich, dass es wohl besser so geblieben wäre... Hallo, ich bin Hailey. Ich habe dieses Jahr gerade mein Abitur abgeschlossen und bin nun, wie viele von euch dabei mich selbst und meinen eigenen bzw. den für mich richtigen Weg im Leben zu finden. Ich weiß ja nicht wie es Euch geht, aber einfach ist es nicht. Nicht, dass es ohnehin schon kompliziert ist.... eigentlich dachte ich sei auf einem guten Weg, bis ich IHM über den Weg lief. Hals über Kopf stolperte ich in sein Leben und er auch irgendwie in Meines. Von diesem Tag an wusste ich, dass das Leben seine eigenen Pläne für uns alle hat und wir noch so viel planen können. Aber lest selbst......

Andere sagen ich sei rebellisch. Ich sage: Ich bin anders.
