Sherlock is not an expert in love. He had never known any sort of affection before...but when he arrives at Baskerville University, he meets John--this blue-eyed boy, this rugby player, this new roommate. They get along well, and when Sherlock begins to receive mysterious notes from an anonymous source, John teams up with him to solve the crimes being committed. Along the way, Sherlock does find love...but what he doesn't know is that his love is evanescent. ((Cover creds go to @meglet713))

John has just started school at bakesville high. He is on there on football scholarship and plans to focus his mind on that only, but what happens when sherlock homes enters his life?

Jealous!Teen!lock but it's fantasy. Prince(ss) Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes, interesting! And an in training doctor peasant boy, John Watson. What will bring them together? "Bring the boys down, please, Ms. Hudson. It's urgent," the king spoke not-so-softly. The maid, Ms. Hudson, nodded and went on her way. She first went to retrieve the eldest brother, who was easier to talk to. "Mycroft, sweetie, your father would like to see you," she spoke softly. He quickly finished up the page he was reading in his book and obeyed. And, the youngest brother was more of a brat and wasn't well at listening. His room was a mess; science experiments everywhere, papers all over the wall and the floor and the desk, the bed never made, just a dumpster.

Sherlock. It was perfect. "...But I would like to go by Sherlock now." Trillium Sheryln Scarlett Holmes goes to school for the first time. She meets Jane Watson, an aspiring army doctor, later in the year. Then, one by one, crime networks start popping up everywhere, all linking back to one name... Moriarty. But no one knows who Moriarty is, or what his plans will lead up to. And so it begins. Note: This story is still in its baby stages, and I've only published the first few chapters. I'm writing the rest of the story right now. Until then... read on, dear Sherlockians.

"This wasn't supposed to happen." New York, 1989. Sherlock Holmes is an addict. From the second-hand smoke to rolling marijuana under the bleachers, and even going as far as seeing other realities during an acid trip, Sherlock needs harmful substances. He needs something-anything that will remind him that he's still living and breathing; he's still here. John Watson was there when his father died on the operation table. Ever since, he felt a deep need to make things right. Unfortunately, there are other plans for him waiting out on a bloody field. When Sherlock's path crosses John's, neither are really sure who is helping the other. All they know is that they need each other, but sometimes the stars just don't align. "This wasn't supposed to happen."

Alex Watson has just been accepted into Westminster Boarding School with her brother, John Watson. When she arrives, she starts making friends with Greg Lestrade, a young boy who hopes to become a detective; Molly Hooper, a sweet girl who has uncommon interests; Mary Morstan, the funny girl her brother has a crush on; and (of course) Sherlock Holmes, her brother's best friend and the most intelligent person in the school, the enigma Alex is dying to crack. But, she's also making enemies. To name a few, Irene Adler, the most popular girl in the school who Alex refuses to be friends with; Sebastian Moran, her soon-to-be ex-boyfriend who wants her back and is willing to do anything to get her back; and Jim Moriarty, the most dangerous person in the school who will stop at nothing to destroy Sherlock and everything and everyone he loves. When students start mysteriously disappearing, it's up to Sherlock, Alex, and John to figure out what's going on, and solve the case. But, this case might bring facts to light that will hurt Alex's relationship with the people she cares most about. Disclaimer: I don't own the BBC Sherlock characters. This is loosely based on the 1985 movie, "Young Sherlock Holmes," so anything that has to do with that belongs to the rightful owners.

Love and sentiment are defects found on the losing side. They cloud your emotions and cause you to behave irrationally. Love is what protects you and builds you as a person. It is what makes you stronger than what you were alone. But is all that really true?
