Sherlock has been going to the same boarding school ever since he can remember. He used to be able to go home over the holidays with his older brother, Mycroft, but one year he is informed he can't go back home and Mycroft goes alone. For the next three years, Sherlock has only his memories of his parents and beloved dog to support him with everything he has to go through. When one day a boy named John comes to the school and is placed in the dorm next to him, Sherlock is certain he'll trade out soon, only to find out he's wrong and accompanied by a new friend, and possibly something more.

John recognized the boy that floated in the pool below him. He was a high class weirdo who could tell your life story before you even knew what you wanted to do with it yourself. John had never caught his name seeing as it was always replaced with vile chants of 'Freak' and 'Psychopath' coming from the cutting tongues of his peers. Now John's mind filled with worry for this beautiful, evasive illusion of a boy and he wanted nothing more than to go down and fish him out the water and tell him that no one else would call him any harsh names ever, because he, John Watson, would not allow it. And so he did... Well he tried. In hindsight it feels more like the boy fished John Watson out of the air, and threw him in the deep end. And so, John Watson learns to swim.

Did you know that colour blindness (colour vision deficiency, or CVD) affects approximately 1 in 200 females, but is much more common in males, where statistics say that it can be found in 1 of 12 boys? Well, John Watson is one of those unlucky number ones. John's life is rather miserable. His only company is a kid called Mike Stamford, a chatterbox who looks up to John as if he was a superhero, which he really isn't. At school, John is constantly harassed by Sebastian Moran and his cronies, who go out of their way to make sure his life is awful. At home, his parents hardly even notice that he's there Sherlock is a wierdo, at least, that's what they say. He burys his head in science and books and struggles to empathise with others. To the people around him, he is, to put it simply, a freak. How very wrong they are. Two different teenagers Two different lives Two different personalities. What will happen when they meet? Oh I don't know, let's just hope it doesn't end in heartbreak.

Since it's its tenth anniversary this year, here are some one shots inspired by the BBC series Sherlock. Including Childlock, Teenlock, Sherlolly and some Sherlock×Reader stories.

Reader is originally from America, but moves to London for University where she meets Sherlock, John and the whole crew. They all go to the same university, read to see what happens when (y/n ) goes to university with the Sherlock crew.

Flash forward in time and Greg and Sherlock are now in university. Greg's studying law and Sherlock attends the School of Performing Arts. They've got a flat together in London and like to spend their time sitting round in bagging clothes (one guess what Sherlock wears), just relaxing. It's been a while since the two neighbors had talked to each other, just long enough to forget their childish young love almost eight years ago. John had half forgotten about his curious neighbor, aside from the daily reminder he got when the sun went down and the window remained illuminated, uncurtained, and exposed. Sherlock wasn't in a good spot, despite what he let the public see. He had been with Victor long enough to get used to his harsh methods of authority, yet when his neighbor begins to meddle in his relationship issues, some good might come out of it after all.
