An aesthetic, 80's, Phan alternate universe. Dan is narrating his last summer before going off to college, which he's spending with long time friend Phil Lester. Ok, well maybe they're a little bit more than friends. Friends who make out sometimes. And, to Dan, a friend that he's sort of fallen in love with. Dan struggles with coming to terms with his sexuality and being an over emotional blue boy in America in the 80's. He has enough heart ache and angst to fill the world. How will it fit into an au? (You're going to have to ignore the errors, like how Crash Bandicoot didn't come out until after when this story takes place, or simple things like that that I have no control over. Sorry, its gonna happen, I'll try not to make it happen often. This story will also include homophobic slurs.)

For his whole life, Dan Howell has only ever seen in shades of black and white. As if that isn't bad enough, his mother died three years ago and since then he has almost completely fallen off the rails. But then he meets the new boy at school, Phil Lester. Phil is the sort of person Dan would usually avoid - he avoids everyone nowadays - but there's something different about him - his eyes are blue. Dan knows he needs to find out more.

Dan Howell is 17 years old. He's lives in a wealthy neighbourhood and has never had a problem when it comes to money. His parents travel a lot for work, leaving him in a house too big for one person and providing him with the money he needs to take care of himself. Phil Lester turned 18 a few weeks ago, meaning he aged out of the foster system. He is living in an abandoned house with limited supplies that are running out fast. He has no idea where to turn next. One stupid dare will give them both what they need.

Phil Lester is an odd one. You don't know what he will do or say, his random things make others think of his as a bit... different. Now you might be wondering who is this boys enemy well that would be 16 year old Daniel howell or Dan as he likes to be Called. Phil just can't stand the boy although their close friendship they had in their younger years. Phil has to keep his secret to himself as he forms a group of 4 "populars" pj,Luke,Charlie and himself. Dan never fully understood why him and Phil grew apart but he never let that dampen his spirits as he found him self in a happy friendship group consisting of Chris, Louise, Zoe and himself.
