Some stories don't start with something big. They start with small things. A seat in a classroom. A notebook that never gets finished. A pencil that was never returned. Aditya never really lost anything all at once. People just... left. Conversations got shorter. Moments passed before he could say anything. And somehow, that became normal. This isn't a love story. Not the kind you expect. It's about the things that almost happened. The words that stayed unspoken. And how some feelings don't go away, even when nothing ever really began.

With the Earth's population at an all-time high, and resources running low, Omni Senate enforces each citizen to take a test to prove their worth and intelligence in order to survive. After turning the age of 16, every citizen living in the city of Rochdale must take a test every 5 years. This test determines the strengths, abilities, and intelligence of each individual. If they fail the test they are killed immediately if deemed useless to society. If they score high, there is a great reward. However, there is a way to opt out of the test. If a child is sacrificed to Omni Senate, a married couple will not have to take the test until it occurs again 5 years later. Only a few people pass The Test, including one young adult in particular, Electa Brava, who scores incredibly high on the test making her one of the 𝒸𝒽𝑜𝓈𝑒𝓃 𝑜𝓃𝑒𝓈.
