This summer two people so wrong for each other cross paths. Kathleen 'Kat' Lathens is a down-to-earth girl who hates boys and Amber 'Ammie' Nicholson is a bold and daring girl who has a big love for everyone with a deep husky voice and plays a manly sport like football. A summer in Miami tests how strong a newly formed friendship can be and tests how long they can stay together when a boy comes into the picture. What is love really? Love stories are usually all the same guy meets girl, for some reason the girl always has a horrid ex-boyfriend, and they fight then make up after two minutes. That's how it works right? In normal love stories? But for Jacqueline, normal is out of the picture. Her way to love was much different than any other cliche in the books, tv shows, and even movies.
