And both of them are worried that something bigger is going on; something that they are unsure if they'll be able to handle when the time finally comes for the truth to reveal itself... ******* Safeguard is a story of two vampire teens who discover that they are meant for more than what they thought. It is a story about destiny, family, and having the courage to become who you truly are. (This book will eventually be part of a much larger story universe, so please stay tuned for a whole adventure of supernatural shenanigans and exposed truths!)

Silvia Perez is an architecture student who has recently fallen into a creative slump. While she's there she overhears a conversation that catches her attention. The boy speaks of a haunted Victorian Gothic house that is inhabited by the original Dracula family vampires. Intrigued Silvia pulls up a chair to hear more and the group thinks it's to hear about the vampires, like she's in a cheesy bestselling romance novel. But Silvia could care less about some pale undead weirdos who glitter who in the sun. She cares about the house and the architectural history behind it. On Halloween night she makes her way to the house and it's safe to say that all hell breaks loose as she'll stop at nothing to get a picture of the house that can maybe help inspire her for her architecture project.

Hidden deep in the woods of the small town in Everton Hills, lies is a riddled and dark story of loyalty, blood, sacrifice and love beyond death. And It all started when Finnegan moved to live with his mother and his delusional grandmother, who speaks of death as an old lover. I have lots of revisions in mind, but first I need to finish TWO novellas I'm working on for a group project. I'd love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, etc. :) ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: So, this story began rattling around in my head while I was working overnights back in 2008. I was inspired by the song "Baby Doll Gone Wrong" by Skye Sweetnam. It's about a girl who looks so sweet and innocent (like a baby doll) but she's actually super bad ass. Kate is a normal teenage girl, high school senior by day and vampire slayer by night. On her eighteenth birthday things suddenly change and everything she thought she knew about herself crumbled as the truth about her birth parents is brought to light. I'd love to hear any thoughts on the story and ideas for a title! (This is book 1, there will be at least one more and a prequel.)
