"Stay alive." I panted, repeating the same phrase in my head over and over as I willed my legs to run faster, the warm wind pressing against my flushed cheeks. "Stay alive." Tears began streaming down my face, my moms face flashing in my mind. I dared a look behind me, but as I did so, my foot caught onto a lose root, pulling me face first into the ground. I was suddenly yanked into the air, my leg being pulled from its socket as my head hit the ground with a thud and my body flipped upside down. Not a root, a trap. "How boring, I was hoping for a show, but you walked right into it." Said a raspy voice behind me. I hissed, the sound ripping through my teeth as I struggled to lift myself up, but something was wrong, my limbs seem to be growing weaker by the second. "Ahh yes, you feel that don't you? Wolfsbane. You don't think it smells good?" The male stepped into sight, and a loud growl rumbled from my throat as my eyes flashed a blinding silver, but only for a second. Wolfsbane? That's real? The male seemed to be taken aback by something as he stared with an odd look at my flickering eyes, but before I could lash out, a deep growl emitted from beside me. "I think it was you who walked right into it."
