Esther Pass was a girl who lived a simple life. She had a brother, two happy and industrious parents, and they resided in a peaceful community in Japan despite not bearing the name to fit the area. This peace, however, was broken before Esther could even turn five. Fire. Bullets. Men in lab coats and suits. Death. These were only a few of the many that happened in the massacre, in which Esther's entire family was murdered mercilessly. These men in coats took the girl in, but instead of taking care of and raising her like any sane adult would, they treated her as a test subject. A test subject, of whom was the recipient of many, many excruciating procedures that, among the many happenings to her physical form, resulted in the devolving of one of her human senses. The men took away her eyesight, amongst the screams and tears and blood shed every hour of every day in that simple, white room in which she was confined in. Their torment and torture, however, would not last long; among the days of pain and agony, the day would arrive when, eventually, she would escape to the outside world-but no longer as an ordinary girl; instead, something so dangerous it could result in the corpses of many if not held under control. There are many stories of joy, love, and the occasional sadness. This is Esther's story: one of tragedy, pain, torment-but perhaps a little romance as well.

My gut feeling tells me to believe her. It's never wrong.
