Message to Readers: All my life, I struggled with loving myself. I struggled with wanting to be accepted and loved by others, which led to people pleasing and having separation anxiety and fits of jealousy. Not anymore... Honestly, I was today years old when I realized that the only acceptance and love I need comes from me. Sure, you might say the love of God, and I will reply, "God is within me." If we are being honest, we all desire the love and human connections of others. My problem was I could not distinguish between giving too much or too little of myself. When I love, I love hard and with all of me. When I don't, I don't. I completely shut down. That way of being led me to give my all to a lot of people who didn't deserve it and could not handle everything that I had to offer. This display of love was a direct reflection of the trauma that was caused by the lack of nurture and affection I needed as a child and did not receive. Self-awareness is a hell of a thing. However, the key to self-awareness is that you must debunk your triggers and reactions to situations to get to the root of why you are the way you are. Once that is done, accept yourself for who you are, then do the things your intuition tells you to change or improve. Evolving is a lifelong journey, and time is an illusion. So, don't let time or people rush you to master your purpose in life. This book is dedicated to all the women around the world fighting to emerge from the wet soils of trauma. Living life unhealed from trauma isn't easy, and it is unhealthy. Trauma can lead to mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, suicide, and so much more. Trauma and life experiences can hold you back in every aspect of your life if you let it!
