The research lab that he was protecting is one of the multiple research labs to cool down the earth and was reverse engineered to become a bargaining chip for the extremely wealthy. but they never heeded the warning of the company if they use it the wrong way they would freeze the world and that's what happened. He died from hypothermia. He then got reincarnated as a demon. he was full of bloodlust from the people on top of society and wanted revenge for the innocent who died and massacred many of the rich people who caused the disaster. When he was found by the voice of the world it took pity on his soul and reincarnated him because of his suffering and because of his good personality. Note: I don't own tensura. There will probably be some good grammar and language. Maybe some decent writing as well, but who knows. Although the universe is based roughly off Tensura, I'm taking many, many liberties. All the canon characters are still gonna exist though. Some of the liberties will be very obvious, some a bit more subtle. The material in canon didn't lend itself very well to the amount of detail I wanted to add in, so... yeah. I'm a newbie writer so feedback is heavily appreciated. No romance, lots of canon divergence, no Great Sage (I'm not sure if I want Raphael or Ciel to exist, but Great Sage is not going to be sentient. Let Rimuru actually use his abilities.) Also it's going to be quite a slow burn. Details galore, worldbuilding is king.
