The 22nd martial arts tournament has begun, and what neither Yamcha nor Tenshinhan know is that this tournament is going to change their lives. They face several problems when Yamcha becomes interested in getting to know Tenshinhan as a person and not as a martial arts fighter. This fic is based on the song "Lemon Boy" by Cavetown. I'm not going to follow the canon events because this fic includes a lot of headcanons. When Freeza destroyed the Earth, Whis turned back time in an attempt to save the planet. Despite his best efforts, Goku was unable to stop Freeza. He was caught in the blast as Earth exploded once again. In desperation to save their planet, and with the help of Whis, the remaining Z Fighters traveled to New Namek in hopes of using their Dragon Balls. Upon arrival, they found they were not alone. The Freeza Force beat them there. The displaced earthlings must now race against time, as well as a malevolent army, in order to find the Dragon Balls and resurrect the Earth.

Future Trunks ends up going farther back in time than he'd intended, and ends up running into (getting robbed by) the desert bandit Yamcha - who is too attractive for his own good, and far more decent than he first appears, but, really, doesn't seem to be that important overall. So taking him along for the ride shouldn't have any problematic effects on the timeline... right?
