Maybe I'm just a little broken inside, but the kinds of love I've seen were never like the stories. We're raised on all these ballads, these fairytales, promising that love is the purest thing the stars have ever seen. It's all a massive lie. A farce to hide the reality of it all. The truth, wholly and honestly, is that we all have our own moral lines: the limits we swear never to cross. The danger comes when we first fall in love, just to watch that line drift away. •Legolas x OC• •Tenth Walker• •Pride And Prejudice With Elves•

All of Middle Earth believed Aragorn son of Arathorn to be the sole heir of Gondor; just as there were nine members of the Fellowship of the Ring. However, every tale has pieces missing with each generation that passes. A key person is often left out of the story because she was not one of the original nine that left Elrond's house. A half-elf named Maethriel has Isildur's blood running through her veins as well but has no knowledge of her lineage for her own safety. After Orcs destroy her village, she soon meets the fellowship. After fighting to earn their trust, she helps them on their journey to save Middle Earth, winning the heart of the elvish prince along the way. They haunted her dreams. Wizards. Warriors. Kings. Dark Lords. Beings of ethereal beauty. Flying cars. Protective trees. Adara's dreams were always so vivid. She blamed it on her reading addiction. Some days she'd dream she was a demigod. Others she was a witch at Hogwarts. Last night she'd dreamt that she was in Rivendell except when she woke, she found that maybe it really wasn't a dream. "I don't understand. This isn't how it was supposed to happen. The story wasn't supposed to be like this." "I write my own story. I make my own choices. And I choose you. I choose to love you...." ~ Aragorn/OC Also posted on AO3 and FanFiction.Net

I remember being the only daughter of a lone mother; I remember her working the day away on several jobs so we could eat and have good clothes and keep our roof over our heads. That's now a bit different. Here I am a second daughter of a married old couple with thick, long braids of hair. It's pretty but excesive in my opinion. Life here is also very different than what I knew before: I've barely seen the sunlight ever since I realized where I was, given that we live underground in a series of interconected galeries. And sooner or later everybody grows a beard - massive, thick, but as well-cared for as they're able. I would bet something on the fact that I was born to dwarves, recalling on my blurry knowledge of several novels I read in my puberty, Salvatore's Trilogy of the Dark Elf my favourite all the way. And judging by that and the low mood around these parts, I would gather that we're poor, almost starving - there's a reason both my parents break their spines working to provide for my older brother and I. It seems like mother is a miner and my father the equivalent of a doctor. Or so I think since I don't really understand their language, which is very different to those I knew from Earth. --- The pic is one I found on Tumblr, by user jasonrainville . Its title it's "The Bather", and can be found on link https://jasonrainville.tumblr.com/post/112876076663 I basically visualize Benin a lot like her, with darker hair, and a whole lot more of it as can be read in the fanfic, plus a beard and probably a hairy chest, but really, she's a vision.
