Skylar and Jeremy are both now in high school along with their friends. All of them have to deal with high school drama now. Skylar still crushing on Joe, she still wonders if he will ever notice her feelings towards him. How will the events unfold? And a new girl and her sisters seems to move in town. The digimon are now back and it seems like the digital world is infected now. (Warning do not read if you haven't watch digimon adventure tri. I do not want to see comments about spoiling things. )

One year after the 8 original Digidestined saved the Digital World they have been called back to rescue it from a new darkness. But unbeknownst to them the forces of Light have taken a risky gamble and selected a girl with a troubled past to inherit a new crest. But will she be able to overcome her past and assist the Digidestined or will the darkness swallow her and the Digiworld?

Izzy and Diane discover Tentomon is struggling up with his work, so the team will found a better idea for him.

In the year 2022, a series of cyber-attacks across Iloilo are the result of catastrophic events in another world within the internet, the Digital World. Gab, a young boy gets transported to the internet and meets Gomamon while they are attacked by a swarm of Argomon. They meet up with Brian and his partner Tentomon and together they defeat the Mega Argomon as AntarcticBeetleDramon. While getting ready for summer camp, Gab, Brian, Peter, Jao, Gianna, Ali, and Sky are transported to the Digital World where they acquire Digivices and Digimon partners while learning that they have been chosen to stop the Dark Digimon causing attacks both the Network and the Digital World. They are lured into a fake Iloilo dimension where Eyesmon, another opponent attacks them. AntarcticBeetleDramon is able to destroy Nidhoggmon before the countdown to destroy the real Iloilo in the Real World happens. They are joined by Cliff, on their mission to stop Devimon, an evil Digimon who rules the Cloud Continent. After Devimon's defeat, on the Eternal Continent, they are joined by Feia and her partner Tailmon, who serves as their guide to the Sealed Grounds, where Millenniummon, an ultimate weapon of the Dark Digimon, is to be revived. Unfortunately, Millenniummon's servants, Vademon and Sakkakumon were able to restore Millenniummon's body, and was unleashed in an attempt to destroy the entire Digital World, but was defeated by Vikemon with the hopes of the Digimon the Chosen Children befriended in their adventure. After Millenniummon's defeat, all nine Chosen Children must discover the true power of the Crests in their Digivices to stop Negamon, the benefactor of the Dark Digimon and the creator of the Argomon and Eyesmon, from bringing the Great Catastrophe.

Alongside them, a young girl named Utena Tsukomo, she too was also chosen with he other seven campers to be a Digidestined. Though her role is much more important than others, a role that she herself doesn't understand how she got, many in the digital world refer to her as the Digimon Princess. Legend stated that a human girl of the purest heart will be the guiding hope of the digital world, as her good-natured heart can turn away no one. Good or bad. Join her and her adventures with her friends in the digital world.

The story follows our hero Kelly Kato and seven other kids (Matt, Tai, Sora, Izzy, Mimi, Joe, and T.K) as they are transported to the Digi-World who must work together to defeat the evil forces that come their way with help of their Digimon partners to save the Digtal world and their own world.
