Karkat is a rising singer. Dave is a famous music producer that wants to sign Karkat to his label. They start to have feelings for each other but what happens when Dave's ex get jealous and starts to get violent?

Karkat Vantas is A. H. Lawndale Prep's "it" boy. Always the lead of every play in middle school, the freshman Vantas expects high school to be no different. He wants out of his brother Kankri's shadow. Kankri and his boyfriend Cronus had their time in the spotlight; now, it's Karkat's time to shine. High school is bigger, brighter, and more exciting than middle school, and if his Broadway dreams are ever going to come true, Karkat has to be the star of everything. The lead in the Fall musical is as good as his, or so he thinks. A shy new kid, a certain Dave Strider, has recently enrolled, and even though he starts classes about a month into the year, it looks like he could pose a threat to Karkat's unrivaled lead spot in Peter Pan.
